Insector: CSRD data for biodiversity
With Insect Monitoring
Making Biodiversity Measurable
Today, if you want to know the state of biodiversity and ecosystems at your location, it requires time and money.
The incredible complexities of biodiversity make it difficult to gather meaningful data about nature. Insector changes that.
The Insector is a monitoring system that tracks the abundance and diversity of insects at your location.
With the help of artificial intelligence, we can provide real-time insights into the health of entire ecosystems, allowing you
to intervene early if something seems off. The Insector offers reliable, continuous biodiversity monitoring and provides you with
CSRD-relevant data for the ESRS E4 sustainability report.
Preview: Insector-Report
The abundance and diversity of insects say a lot about the state of ecosystems.
In the Insector report, we analyze this data and prepare it in compliance with CSRD. This way,
you can use the Insector report as a basis for your ESRS E4 reporting.

Insector: Development and Methodology

With the support of the Fraunhofer Ideas Competition "Innovative and Applied",
we are developing and testing an insect monitoring system for green facades as part of the
"WildData" project, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP. This system, called Insector,
uses artificial intelligence to recognize, count, and classify insects. The Insector can reliably monitor insect
diversity and abundance over long periods, providing insights into the condition of the local ecosystem.
The Insector can be used in both facade greening and as a stand-alone solution to make the effectiveness of conservation measures measurable!
